Gratitude For Growth
Jul 03, 2024Getting sober and turning over a new leaf is hitting the reset button on life. It’s important to express gratitude for this fresh start. Even if you’re not where you want to be, the desire to change is a victory. Let’s show a couple of ways to show gratitude.
First, give a heartfelt shout-out to those who’ve been there for you. Their love and support have been instrumental in your journey. Remember, you’re not just as good as the people surrounding you but also a reflection of their love and care. Take a moment to let them know how much you value their presence in your life.
I did a lot of journaling. I wrote down my feelings, good and bad. If I felt terrible, I lived that experience; I didn’t try to escape. Don’t run; acknowledge the way you think and try to find a path towards gratitude.
One of the most powerful ways to express gratitude is by helping others walk a similar path. Whether it's through volunteering, sharing your story, or simply lending an ear, giving back is not just a choice; it’s a responsibility. And in this process, you'll find that helping others can be incredibly rewarding, often more than you could have ever anticipated.
Recognizing the chance to start fresh and expressing gratitude is a gift. Acknowledge the journey, show love to those who've helped you, and be faithful to the new you. Keep riding the wave of positivity and growth; you’ll be amazed at where it can take you.
