"More Will Be Revealed"

sober expressions/sayings Jun 15, 2024

Life isn’t always going to go our way - even in recovery. We’ll lose jobs, get broken up with, and our loved ones will pass away. During these difficult times, it might be hard to cope. We won’t understand why this happens, considering we’re sober and doing our best to live admirable lives.

You get turned down for a job, which is a total bummer. This is a crushing blow, but when you believe that “More will be revealed,” you remain grateful and hopeful about what’s ahead. You might find a better job, make more money, and be closer to home, which is an overall better situation. We must believe that if we stay on the good path, more will be revealed, but not on our terms or timeline.

Try to convey a sense of patience and trust, knowing that if we stay the course, good things will eventually happen. Recovery is a journey, not a destination. Accept that it takes time, and we don’t necessarily need to understand why.

Our perspectives on life and relationships will change as we grow, which is good. “More will be revealed” encourages embracing the changes, even when challenging or unexpected. You don’t need to understand everything at once. Keep working on your sobriety and bettering yourself; the right things will happen at the right time.

If things get rough, hang in there because, at some point, you’ll better understand why all this is part of your journey.
